About VIVA classes
Cooking Classes are a combination of demonstration and hands-on. Each chef has a different style and personality, as do the participants. You may join in or watch on the video screen or both – whatever is most comfortable for you. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun.
Classes are usually limited to 12 people. Generally, cooking classes last 3 hours. You are welcome to bring your own apron if you plan to participate a lot, but it is not necessary – we have extras. |

Students receive a booklet that includes the recipes, as well as a few interesting notes about the particular subject or menu.
Tastings of each dish are served as they are prepared. Though this is not a “full meal”, no one has ever left hungry or unsatisfied. Fresh filtered water is available and when appropriate, one glass of wine will be served to adults (21 years and older) to accompany the main course.
For some cooking classes, fine wines can be purchased by the glass if you wish to upgrade or supplement. |

Some classes are priced a little higher than others reflecting on the added expense of bringing the chef/sommelier/instructor from Italy. We think you will agree the nominal increase was well worth the authenticity of the experience.
Students receive a 10% discount on all cookbooks and food products offered at VIVA. VIVA adheres to the Slow Food principles of buyng local, organic, products that support the grower. We are "ecologically minded and concerned with sustainability and the connection between the plate and the planet. The beauty of Slow Food is that it provides a welcome home for the food lover . . . . " Slow Food USA website |
